How many times have you told yourself “I’ll start tomorrow, I’m just too tired today?”. I can so relate to this myself. For years (probably more than 10) I kept telling myself I would start working out and get in shape. Then one day I woke up and I was 50 and miserable.
Don’t put off what you can do today! I know it’s been said thousands if not millions of times over and over but here’s one thing I can promise. If you take just that FIRST STEP you will Feel Better, and be on your way to a healthier you than you were yesterday.
Being in my late 50’s sometimes I feel like I’m in a neglected group. After 50 there doesn’t seem to be an age range for us unless we’re in the hospital or getting our estate and retirement in order. The good news? Our muscles have no clue what age we are – In fact they only know how to bounce back and get into shape once we put our mind to it.
So I’m banking on the wisdom of my body and my muscles and I take 1 day at a time working out to stay as fit as possible as I age gracefully. Thank god for muscles – they are my new best friend!
